5:30 AM 67* It rained from about midnight to 4am. Luckily we were prepared and picked up last night and were all hooked up, ready to go. Dressed and out the door at 6am! At o’dark-thirty we only saw a few rabbits as we left the park. High wind advisory but we crossed the David Bolan Bridge without any difficulty. It was really cool to see all the bridge pillars and bypasses with Blue Angel pictures on them as we passed through Pensacola.🛩️ 6:46am Goodbye Florida & hello Alabama! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Our first stop was in Robertsdale, Al at Buc-ee’s 🦫 Filled up diesel tank – $3.45/gal – 73.16 gal = $233.39 Then breakfast & snacks = $27.05 Yup expensive stop! 8:28 am – Next stop was at the last Publix we’ll see for a very long time in Saraland, Al. I made record time in getting groceries! 😂 9:00 am crossed into Mississippi 11:12 am stopped for a bathroom break in Magee & low and behold across the street was a Walmart so …$166.41 later….we decided to make an upgrade and bought a 3” queen size mattress topper & flat sheets to cut up and place under our couch seats in Bubbles to make it more comfortable! 😱 1:22pm stopped at Circle K for our daily Diet Cokes! 🥤Our GPS routed us on back country roads which was all farm land, pastures with cows, horses, sheep & lots of crops. 4:30pm we crossed into Texas! No welcome sign but. Our GPS told us …Welcome to Texas ⭐️ while on “Farm to Market Road”! (A narrow 2 lane road with no shoulders)!

5:13pm we arrived at tonight’s destination – Brushy Creek Core of Engineer Park (COE) 68* & very windy! 💨 Site E 103, pull thru site where we had a beautiful view of the water & dam. We set up which took a bit longer since we traveled on a lot of rough, bumpy roads. It was Happy hour time & we took a walk around the campground loops and to the water’s edge. I looked across the water and waved at our friends who were on the other side, 5 miles away , driving time 20 minutes away but we’ll see them tomorrow at the Rally. We enjoyed having our dinner outside admiring the sunset on the water. 10:15pm we called it a night. 😴 today was a long day of traveling – 11 hours 13 minutes, 535 miles!

Very windy traverse of Escambia Bay.
We were lucky and missed the worst of the front.
See you in six months!
Yeah! Breakfast and cheap gas!

Beautiful campground and site. There were many beautiful sites throughout the campground.
Hi Jim & Kelly
Not a bad view from your door.
Or your front window.
Hated to leave this beautiful place but it’s time to Journey.
