🌞 Sunny at 5:30am here! Oh man our sinus’s are giving us fits today! Had to laugh mid-morning as the Weather channel sent out an Air Quality Alert…Pollen Count Up and fires in Canada! High of 86* expected for today. 12:00 noon we pulled out. Took I-80 west Ohio Turnpike with the narrowest entrance! And it cost us $18.00!! 😱🤯 We stopped at the Ohio rest area and hands down the best Plaza we’ve ever encountered. 🏆🥇🏆 Inside looked like an airport! There was a truckers lounge & their own area which explains all the big rigs in the parking lot! The biggest, cleanest restrooms, and then the food court…Starbucks, Burger King, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Panera, and about 7 more eateries!
Back on the road and did we see some sights! 2-triple towed FedX trucks! 3:00pm we arrived at our Harvest Host. American Winery & Brewery. 🍷🍺🍷🍺 We backed up into our spot which was amazing with vineyards behind and beside us! It doesn’t open till 4 so we decided to rest up! At 5pm we walked across the parking lot and checked in. I sampled a few wines and decided on the Red, White & Blue slushee, which was powerful! Tim tried 4 different beers throughout the night… Gun Fight, Wanted Dead or Alive, Buffalo Bill & a Stage Coach….not like we had far to walk too! We had a charcuterie board & their bread & dipping oil (which is made by the owner). Amazing! We so enjoyed the young girl Brandy who was the only one working the 4 hours tonight that it’s open! There were only 2 other people inside who stopped in after work for 1 glass of wine. Talk about having the whole place to ourselves! The last hour, the owners came in and sat with us and talked about their place and how he’s been making beer & wine for 50 years now. We then walked back to our camper and later in the night we walked the parking lot, sat on the swing they had but then chased inside by the cool night! 🥶 We traveled 156 miles today.
