🌞Up at 7:20 and out by 8:05! (I-24E) stopped to get 18 gallons of diesel to play it safe! ⛽️
Passed a lot of familiar exits that we did last year on the Bourbon Tour! The Smokey Mountains were just beautiful especially going over the Tennessee River. The way the sun hit the mountain and the haze of the Smokey mountains made it a gorgeous ride. Lots of green mountains…lots of cows now. 🐄
10:27 crossed into Georgia
10:55 crossed into Alabama
Hmmmm time zone crossing somewhere! I’m so confused!🤔
10:36 passed this crazy corner store in Alabama
10:45 back into Georgia
2:25 pulled off at gas station parking lot for a quick lunch inside the trailer because there were no rest areas
4:10 stopped at a Sam’s Club for a fill up ⛽️ 94 gallons/$408.07 later
4:45 We passed the Procter and Gamble Plant! The Albany plant manufactures Bounty Paper Towels and Charmin Toilet Paper. 🧻
6:00pm 🎉🎉🎉🎉 We made it! Reed Bingham State Park! The registration office is closed! No one is around! So we went to our site…loop 2, site 27 and set up. Beautiful big Oak trees with moss hanging. Site was full of crazy 🐜 ants, so Tim sprayed the area since we’re here for 2 nights! Happy hour is well deserved, then made dinner and relaxed till we fell asleep. 💤
